Having Trouble Finidng the Silverlight Application for Sync Framework Offline scenario RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an old version of the Silverlight Application that works with the sync framework 2.0/3.0.  It has a bad com crash when I try to run it now (I'm thinking because I have installed the update to 2.1/3.1).

Where is this example?  Has it been updated to work with the 2.1/3.1 release?

  • Peter,

If you are referring to the Sync Fx 3.0 labs invitation bit then you are right. Its not supported with the RTM version of SyncFx 2.1 providers. Please install the Providers shipped with the lab bits. If not can you please post info on what SL sample you are talking about?

  • Sync Framework 2.1/3.1 have a different set of COM component id than 2.0/3.0.  So can you try to recompile the client application with the 2.1/3.1 sync framework and see if the same problem popped up?

  • What I'm really looking for is a way to implement the file provider on a mobile phone (android or iphone).  I had some beta bits that gave me an iphone and silverlight example, but that did not seem to make it into 2.1/3.1.

    It had classes like:

    Services... are missing

Just not sure where to go from here.
