I have been using Vista Home Premium on my laptop for about a month, when I got the black screen saying that my copy isn't genuine.
I tried system restore, and it didn't fix anything, just the same old black screen, and I also tried the whole 'net start slsvc' command and it said it was already running. Help would be greatly appriciated, since I need the laptop fully functional as soon as possible for work!

You either replaced the motherboard or flashed the BIOS or sent it in for repairs. In either case, use the Product Key on the bottom of your PC . If that doesnt work, since youve only had it for 1 month, contact Gateway for supprt on your 450ROG or Intel on your Montara Mobo.
