Windows 10 back to Windows 7

    Question

  • I accidentally picked the desktop computer when I meant to change my laptop to Windows 10 (laptop had Windows 8.1 and HATED it). Desktop was nicely rolling along with Windows 7 Professional. So didn't make recovery discs or do any of the right things. I can't stand Windows 10. How do I roll it back without wiping everything clean?

  • If you did not remove the windows.old folder you can roll back by  going to all settings>update & security>recovery>roll back

If you removed the windows.old folder you will have to re-install the previous OS.  You may simply be better off fixing the issues with win 10 if this is the case

  • Hello,

The Windows Desktop Perfmon and Diagnostic tools forum is to discuss performance monitor (perfmon), resource monitor (resmon), and task manager, focusing on HOW-TO, Errors/Problems, and usage scenarios.

As the question is off topic here, I am moving it to the Where is the Forum... forum.
