Our website got hacked....but how??

  Setup: We have Windows 2003 Std running IIS7.  We recently upgraded our website running PHP scripts. Today when we came we got the following on our main page:

   Fatal Error ownz you ! GreetZ : w4n73d help : s4r4d0@yahoo.com !

  We had a index.html file which was used a re-direct to our index.PHP file (doesn't ask me why it was setup this way).  The index.html file got modified. Acutally, all of the html and htm files got modifed to: Fatal Error ownz you ! GreetZ : w4n73d help : s4r4d0@yahoo.com !

   Has this happened to anyone? IIS and Windows logs don't tell me anything. I am confused how this happened.
