TaskExecutionFailureRetryLimit - access previous return code RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to access the return code from the previous (and failed) task execution in the subsequent task execution if retry limit is above 0, e.g. as an environment variable? (And using HPC Pack 2012 R2 Update 1 or higher)

  • Currently it is not possible in the product, but we can take this request and investigate a fix in our update 3 release.

  • In Update 3 we add a new environment variable: CCP_TASK_PREV_EXITCODE to record the previous exit code if it is retried.

  • Thanks for your swift reply. We will work around it for now and look forward to the next update. The rerun feature in update 1 is highly appreciated.

  • Many thanks indeed. I will be looking for the release of update 3. This will simplify our handling of reruns due to task failures.
