Windows Home Server Boot DVD RRS feed

  • Question

  • I downloaded the iso file, installed a free tool to extract the files and folders and burning a DVD.
The DVD is not bootable.  I have tried it on 3 pc's.
How do I create a bootable DVD with WHS on it?

  • If you mean "bootable" like a Linux "live CD", you don't.

If you mean "bootable so I can install it", take the .iso file, use your tool of choice to burn that as a disk image to a DVD-R, and boot from it to install Windows Home Server on your hardware.

I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
