How do we handle Undeliverable emails? RRS feed

  • So when we send an email out we will sometimes get a bounceback email saying the address does not exist (and it's quite correct). How do we incorporate this information back into CRM? Is there any support at the router or outlook plugin level for bounceback emails?

  • Hi Phil,

        This will reply on what you want to do with the bounceback e-mails. If it is just to track the bounce backs, you can select the From e-mail as the one which is a valid e-mail so that all these e-mails will go to this person. It is also possible to send these e-mails to CRM Queue so that few team members can have a look at them and action them appropriately. If you are looking at more sophisticated bounce back functionality then suggest using 3rd party products like ExactTarget , ClickDimention, CoreMotives for this. These marketing products offer this functionality.
