2010 - Zoom in/out in Resource Assignments RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

what could I have missed when I am not able to zoom in or out in Resource Assignment View in PWA of Project Server 2010? "This control is currently disabled". I am working with an administrator account, so I can't believe that I "don't have the right permission level". Has anyone an idea?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Barbara,

I fully understand now :)   I also see the same behavour.  I think the buttons are context sensitive, eg, on the Gantt Chart view, I cannot set the date range but I can zoom, but on the Timephased Data view, I can set the date range but not zoom.

  • Hi Barbara,

I get this if I don't have any resources selected (and the button is also greyed out).  I cannot reproduce your scenario.

  • Hi Ben,

thanks for checking. I forgot to mention that I have this issue with "Timephased Data". Everything is fine with "Gantt Chart". Does that also work in your environment (I want to verify that searching all my settings will have a chance).

  • Hi Ben,

thanks for confirmation, So I can stop search my settings. I also think that it's context sensitive. It does make sense to me not being able to set a date range for a gantt chart. But I really liked the unit options daily/weekly/entire period in 2007!!! And so did our customers. It's a pity that it doesn't exist any longer.

    Regards
