You may not have activated your trial installation. To activate, open One Care, select "Subscribe" and when asked for a Live ID enter the Live ID and password used to purchase your subscription and One Care will activate.

If your subscription to OneCare shows incorrect or expired in OneCare
- Check your PC date and time. If it is incorrect, change it and restart the computer.
- Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
- Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
- Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials
If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.

i tried the 3 month free option in april - prior to this ending i purchased i years subscription starting 6th july - my account was debited accordingly- until now i haven't had a problem until someone cancelled my account on 7th oct. 2009 - i didn't cancel but you did - why ?Thursday, October 8, 2009 12:48 PM -

"You" isn't any of us - we're not Microsoft employees, but fellow customers and users of OneCare. I don't know why it was canceled, but you've got two choices - contact support via the link above (email as a trial user) or abandon the OneCare subscription and switch to Microsoft Security Essentials now, since it was released. As people's subscriptions expire in the future, they will be guided to install the new free antivirus/antimalware product from Microsoft or an alternative.

No offense taken. ;-) It was a good opportunity to remind readers that the moderators are not Microsoft employees. If you have problems reaching support/customer service in order to find out what happened to the subscription you paid for and wish to continue using OneCare, let me know.
Send me an email at sboots_at_mvps.org (replace _at_ with @) and mention OneCare in the subject, paste a link to this thread in the message body and let me know what country you are in.
