CRM 2011 online - workflow to send an email on creation of email activity RRS feed

  • Hello Everyone,

    On creation of email activity, I would like to send that activity to customer via workflow.

    Anyone can suggest a solution for that.

  • The only way to do it create your emails using "Send Email" step in workflows.

    There is no seperate send message available in CRM. You can write a custom workflow assembly to send an email.

    You can do the same using plugin.

  • If you want to send the same copy to the customer, it sounds like to need to include them in the "CC" field. Then you could still use the "Regarding (Account/Contact)" in the workflow email setup. If you are looking to do more than that, as Amreek suggested you would have to get into writing code for a plugin or custom workflow activity.

  • You might want to elaborate a bit more on what exactly you are trying to accomplish. 

    If you are wanting to automatically send a separate copy of an email to the customer, you might create your email workflow to run on the create event and then for the "To" look at using the "Regarding (Account/Contact)" as the recipient.

    I want to send a same copy. Whenever an eamil is created in system, i would like to send the same to customer via workflow.
