Windows Vista build 6000 says that it's not genuine AND I can not access Control Panel.
This happened after I did a recover to factory settngs using the HP recovery partition. - On windows update, there were 107 updates, and they too 4.5hrs
After rebooting once they'd finished, I got the not genuine message in a Windows Aero pop up, and in the bottom right of the desktop
At first the copy wasn't activated and I noticed when running the WGA tool that the key in the results didn't match the sticker on the side of the case.
By running slui.exe, I have now activated it with the correct key, but still cant get rid of the not genuine message, and am suffering the consequenses of all that it entails
Please provide a fix for this, I really need to validate my copy of Windows, which came pre-installed from HP

I can't see anything wrong with the report - which probably means that the Licensing store is borked in some way. Please try the below steps to recreate the Store files. This may resolve the issue.
1) Open an Internet Browser window.
2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
3) Find the file CMD.exe
4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
5) Type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes - don't worry if it tells you the service isn't running anyhow!))
6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
9) Type: net start slsvc
10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
11) Restart your computer twice.
12) You may be required to enter the Product Key and/or Activate.
Reboot
Once complete, please post back with a new MGADiag report
