Virtual Adapter replaces IP for DDNS feature [solved] RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently installed Comodo EasyVPN on my WHS to make a network with some friends. The software creates a virtual adapter with its own IP for this purpose. The problem is this disables my xxxx.homeserver.com domain name, since WHS is apparently trying to connect it to the IP of the virtual adapter. I can see the IPs changing in the remote access settings of the console, and disabling the virtual adapter fixes the problem right away. Is there any way I can tell WHS which adapter to use in this case?

  • Solved it myself. For reference, I opened Network Connections and clicked Advanced -> Advanced Settings. From there I could change the access order of my adapters, so I just put the NIC on top.
