Live Meeting Error - Remote Desktop Sharing "You have attempted to enable desktop sharing for an attendee who doesn't have the necessary permissions..." RRS feed

  • Question

  • This has only happened on 2 occasions with different people where during a Live Meeting, try to enable Remote Desktop Sharing and I get the error "You have attempted to enable remote desktop sharing for an attendee who doesn't have the necessary permissions.  Please change the attendees permission to allow them to use current tools and try again."  These are for internal people at my company, we are not trying to go outside of the network, and we are all installed with the same version of OCS/LiveMeeting with the default permissions that has allowed everyone else to remote to other people just fine.  I can't find anything on this anywhere.  Please help.  Thanks!

Answers

  • You must check the Meeting Policy that is associated with these people
You can find that when opening the user properties on the Front-End Server
You may also need to check Global Properties at Forest Level for appriopriate policies
