crm outlook client -organizations not visible

Question
-
i 've upgrade my CRM server 3.0 to version 4.0. I typed trial
enterprise key. everything is OK. but....
i can't access from outllok client - when i am installing client the
organistion list is not visible.
in deployment manager status of organization is 'pending'. it' s only
one organization and it is default. i used option 'repair' of CRM setup. - still the same situation.
adding new organization in deployemnt manager - new organization is still not visible
in configuration of outlook client i type http://<computer name> (the
same address as i type in browser).
should i type http://crm/<organizationname> ??
if i type in browser http://<computer name> everything is ok. But what
to type in outlook client?
any suggestion?
i would be grateful if U would help meWednesday, March 26, 2008 7:25 AM

Hi.
It seems that the upgrade did not fully succeed.
Can you browse the CRM using internet explorer < Web Client >?
Here is a helper post on the organization 'Pending' state.

i can browse the crm using browser (ie) without problems. everything is ok.
Problems occur when i want connect to crm by outlook client.
i 've created new organization (status now is enabled - is ok)... and the same situation - when i install and configure outlook client organization is not visible.
What should i doWednesday, March 26, 2008 10:03 PM -
Hi
We are ahosted CRM provider and we had this issue with our deployment at first... you should make sure that you have Forms based authentication turned on so that your outlook client is able to authenticate.
if we have this turned off, the web client works fine but you cannot connect via teh outlook client
Hope that helps

Hi Allan,
Just curious......were you running Forms and Windows authentication in IIS together? I get an error when I enable them both. I'm trying to set up an IFD deployment on a hosted server that will ONLY be accessed via web.......I can connect via web client like a charm but I've been trying to configure Outlook now for 4 days with no luck. Any insight on how you got forms authentication working would great.
Thanks,
James
