How can i change the access rights of user owned custom Entity records after getting approval from Supervisor. Do i need to assign the records to Supervisor by workflow or what?

  • Hi.

You don't change access rights / levels, you setup role based security in advance.
You should use object base security to share or assign approved records among users.

    In other words:

Role based security = Entity Level (all records)
Object based security = Instance Level (Single Record)

You can share or assign records using both UI and SDK.

    I Hope this helps.

    dear nazish

All u need to do is to change the security role in which that particular group or a person lies. and enable them to use custom entities and customizations

    1. go to settings
    2. then goto business unit setting
    3. select security roles
    4. double click that particular Role
    5. select the last tab. (Custom Entity)
    6. and give it the access type (up to level u wanted. its most recommended that you give it as Parent Child Key.)
    7. DONE!!!!!!
