Hi All, I have read the article here about the requirement of Windows Azure certifications needing to be renewed every 2 years.
This article covers MCITP Virtualization Admin as well as MCPD Azure Developer.
Does anyone know if this applies to both certifications or just the MCPD Certification?
Many Thanks.

Hi Jarad,
I deleted the mails, once the second email arrived saying please disreguard, but do not remember MCITP Virtuilaztion Admin so probably different mail. Does make sense for Azure and Probably Silverlight, but there are already too many exams!!
However I do not think it is fully thought through. With the recent change for Microsoft partners you need the latest certificates, this means getting certified every three years for developers. So not that much difference. I do not think Microsoft Learning will be able to keep pace.
Regards,
Geoff

As 2 separate news articles have been addressed here I have finally found some more information here: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-cloud.aspx
1. MCPD Azure needs renewal every 3 years
2. MCITP Virtualization Admin only needs renewal with new technology releases
Thank you Ozzy Geoff, your information was helpful but just addressing a different instance than the link I provided in my initial post.

Hi Jarad,
I received that email having taken the Azure Beta Exam.
The email was pulled, so this does not currently apply and Azure was the only exam specified.

Hi Ozzy Geoff,
Maybe we are think of 2 different emails, as the one I recieved is still there and has not been pulled.
Outline's both MCPD Azure and MCITP Virtuilaztion Admin.
The exact text outlines Azure, but it also looks to be grouping the 2 certs together on the comment.
Thanks, Jarad
