Error connecting Dynamics CRM Online Trial to E-mail Router RRS feed

  • Question

  •  Hello everybody.

I am trying to use my Hotmail (e-mail) account to Dynamics CRM Online (30 days Trial) via E-mail Router

    The error is:

The E-mail Router Configuration Manager was unable to retrieve user and queue information from the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server. This may indicate that the Microsoft Dynamics CRM server is busy. Verify that URL 'http://disco.crm4.dynamics.com/OrganisationName' is correct. Additionally, this problem can occur if the specified access credentials are insufficient. To try again, click Load Data.(GetAuthState() - Request status:)

All users have as primary e-mail configures the same Hotmail e-mail address.

Please help, the TRIAL doesn't look so good as I've been trying for the past 5 days to get the e-mail working...

    Thank you in advance.

Btw, I tried to add a picture with all configurations but the attempt was rejected due to "unverified account"...what happened with "1 picture is better than 1000 words"?...

  • Sorry, It was my mistake, I used a wrong port for POP3, 110 (default) instead of 995. I noticed also that for SMTP it works with port 587 instead of 465 ( for Gmail; I changed Hotmail to Gmail hoping that decision would improve the traffic -> no luck!).

However the ensemble CRM+Router is not working: I've sent and received just a few e-mails and nothing afterwards, it looks as if the Router service is not working anymore(stopped and started several times).

    I gave up.

I wish you good luck with this product.

  • You should use https instead of http

You cannot use the same email address for all your users, you should use different addresses. Email resolving will not work and you can get issues when using the outlook client.

  • Hello Ronny.

The URL contains indeed https in my case, noting is missing there. As I mentioned I've been trying a lot in the past 5 days to make it work and at some point I made combinations that I admit are against common sense, same e-mail from Hotmail account being one of them. The situation doesn't change if I put different e-mail addresses.

I still can't add any images with the configuration..., what a torment!.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards.

Small update: I was offered to do Update Rollup for both Microsoft Services Sign-In Assistant and Update Rollup 12 for MS CRM 2011 E-mail Router but NOTHING changed, I still have the same error.
