A/V Edge with Cisco Pix 515e RRS feed

  • Question

    Hi Everyone,

I am stuck and could use a little help. I am trying to get my A/V edge server working and I know it requires a public IP. I have my A/V edge server in my DMZ behind a Cisco PIX 515e and I am NOT a cisco guy and am struggling with how to get my A/V edge with a public IP to be reachable from the net. I have tried the nat (DMZ) 0 public IP and that does nothing for me. I am sorry if I am short on the details but not sure what else someone would be looking for.

    Thanks for any help!!

  • We are struggling with the same problem. And I think we have some problems with the PIX config conserning the IP for the edge server.

This is what I have done on the PIX: static (inside, outside) public_a\v_ip public_a\v_ip

But this not seems to solve our problem. Did you get your's to work?

    HI Reili_q

I was not able to do it I have a IOS that won't do what we are trying to do. The easiest way to do is to either use IOS 7.0 in transparent mode or do what I did and put the A/V outside of the firewall.
