  • Question

  • Hi,
First of all, I will like to apologize if my question is not in the good category but I did not succeed in finding a good one...
My question did not find any answer on answers.microsoft.com and a member advised me to post here.

    Here it is:

I have a folder with subfolders and shortcuts (shortcuts are links to Google Drive folders).
The names of the folders begin with 00, 02 and 04.The names of the shortcuts with 01, 03 and 05.I would like to sort them by name and get 00, 01, 02, 03, 04 and 05.But I currently get 00, 02, 04 then 01, 03, 05.Impossible to mix...
I tested by renaming but it did not change anything.
Moreover, I tried to add keys in the Registry but nothing...

Do you have a solution for that?
    Thanks in advance,
    Michaël

  • Hi,

    Thank you for posting here.

Did you see the document about Registry Settings for Folder Redirection in Windows? This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry.

I don't think that your issue is related to developing software, the issue is about how to use windows explore. According to MSDN policy I will move the case to off-topic forum.

    Best Regards,

    Hart

  • I know this is the normal behaviour, and that is my problem.
I would like more freedom in organizing my folders/sub folders/files/shortcuts...
    Anyway, thanks for your reply.
