Difference Between a CRM Solution And CRM Pakage RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I have created a separate solution and under it...

I have developed a plugin, created some custom entities, customized Forms, Added some JavaScript web resources.

Now I want to deploy this to another server, Including plugins.

I don't want to register plugin manually in another server, I want it to be included in solution and registered when I import this solution in to another server.

I have included my plugin Assembly using  Add Existing option in my Solution>Plugin Assemblies Section.

So whats the best way to do these tasks, Am I doing right? Or am I doing something wrong? Please suggest me the correct way to do this deployment.

  • You also have to add the SDK Messages for your plugins. This way you get the Option to activate SDK Messages while importing your solution in another environment and you don´t have to use the plug-in Registration tool to manually Register the Messages.

  • Hi Prashanth,

Just Export the Solution(which is having the plugins and custom entities) from the Source Organization and Import the same to the Destination Organization. After deployment, you can find all the plugins and components in the Destination Organization.
