Thank you for your interest in Microsoft Fix it Center (beta).
What kind of user authentication takes place on your proxy server, e.g. Windows authentication, basic authentication, etc.?
As a first release, the primary audience the application targets is home consumers. For that reason, the "Basic" user authentication scheme (through user specified user name and password) is not supported in this release. For the application to work properly
on Windows XP / Server 2003 / Vista / Server 2008, please also make sure that your proxy server is configured to allow outgoing traffic from your computer's machine account. Please consult your network administrator regarding proxy server configuration.
