CRM13 IIS Permission issue RRS feed

  • have setup crm 2013 backend and frontend on one server and the sql server and SSR on different server.

    everything working and I can access CRM 13 on all server and desktop locally and remotely.

    the only server that I cannot access the crm from is the server that I have crm 13 backend and frontend installed.

    however I can access the server using the http and also https://localhost:5555 however not by the external hostname.

    It is asking for username and password however not accepting the details.

  • Could be that the CRM_Apool account needs access to the certificate.

    The CRMAppPool account will need to have rights to the certificate being used for the CRM website. If the application pool is running as Network Service as in the example then you will need to give Network Service read rights to that certificate.

    You can use IIS Manager to determine what account was used during setup for the CRMAppPool account. In the Connections pane, click Application Pools, and then check the Identity value for CRMAppPool.
