double page book view issue in Word 365

Question
-
When scrolling through pages in a book using two-page view, at one point the order of the pages suddenly skip and the odd-even pages switch. In the past I would fix this by finding a hidden page break or mixed odd-even break. By deleting the bad or out of place break, I could fix the problem. Not this time.
Problem began when I cut and pasted from another document, pasting as text. However, the issue does not occur in the newly pasted material but several pages further on. When typing in header info, the pages would switch as I types...jump to the adjacent page, so the odd-even headers switch. This is driving me nuts. I use Windows 10 and Office 365.
