Windows 7 build 7600/7601 not genuine RRS feed

  • Question

  • about a week ago i got the message of "windows 7 build 7600 not genuine". so looking that up i learned it really doesn't harm your computer so i let it be and next time i turned on my computer it went away. now a week later and a couple of windows updates i get the same message except build 7601. Now the only reason i am asking for help is that the day after the first windows message came up the boot up time on my computer got incredibly long like and entire hour long. so i think they might be connected but im not certain.

also the Microsoft genuine thing im supposed to copy and paste now when ever i hot the copy button i get the error message "Failed to create out put files, hr = 08x00706b5. Please contact support."

  • To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.

What I believe george1009 meant is to ignore the error "Failed to create out put files" when running the MGADiag tool. That error just means that the MGA Diag tool wasn't able to create the log files (probably due to read only permissions of the folder the tool is located in) that we don't use on the forums anyways. You should still be able to copy/paste the Diagnostic Report, regardless of that error.

  • The Diagnostic Report is showing no problems.

So the first thing I would like you to try is to go to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ValidateNow.aspx?displaylang=en and click the Validate Windows button and follow the directions.

    Tell the results you receive.

    Thank you,

Ok, im new this forum...I did a google search for "samsung r780 windows not genuine message" and it led me here.  I have been receiving this message for the past 3-4 days and on the 1st day, I downloaded the windows activation tool that i was prompted to do and it came with a message from MS that i need to buy the kit for 109.99.  Why is this happening?  It said that something the file may have been modified, removed, or deleted...well it is, it's from all of the windows updates then bcuz my laptop is clean and free of malware.  Pls help!!
