I'm dying why is onecare going away. After having Norton and Mcafee, I was so happy that I found onecare. I was in control of my computer not Norton or mcafee. Any ideas which other program will work as well as onecare????????????Thanks for answering

Take a look at the following for general OneCare End of Life Guidance.

At the end of that are links to Microsoft Security Essentials, which is replacing OneCre as anti-malware only. It doesn't include backup, firewall or the Hub/Circle features, but it is complete protection form malware, just like OneCare was.

If you have been happy with OneCare, when the subscription expires, try Microsoft Security Essentials - based on the same core as Wndows Live OneCare. It is free and has been quite well received since its release.
