CRM 4 - Customize "Close Phone Call" Dialog RRS feed

  • Question

  • I would like to add a check box or radio button to the Close Phone Call dialog for the purposes of scheduling a follow up call. If selected, I want a new scheduled call dialog to appear with certain pieces of data from the closed call carried over.

    Possible?

If that is not possible or too difficult, is it possible to customize the form assistant when using the built in "folllow up" button? I need to add a couple of custom fields from the phone call entity

    Thank you

  • Hi Jenks,

There is a sample given in Programming Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 book for creating a custom Web page that has the look and feel of a Microsoft Dynamics CRM dialog box. You could refer to it !

  • Jenks -

To accomplish this, you would need to develop the process / dialog using the CRM SDK - do you have experince coding / someone on your team with those skills? - I guess it depends on your idea of what is 'too difficult' is.

A non-coding option would be to set the fields you need added to the form assistant by setting the custom fields requirement level.

hopefully that get you on the path toward success.

    Thank you
