    Where do I setup the network password (enable security, make it a secured network) Also, I'm using a laptop so is it possible to disconnect my wired ethernet connection and use the wireless?  Do I need to install the network magic program that comes with the router because it won't install.

    The forum you posted to is for the discussion of Microsoft Security Essentials beta. You do not need Network Magic to set up your wireless router. Configuring wireless security should be explained in your router documentation. You can also use the D Link set up wizard - http://support.dlink.com/emulators/wbr2310/
