The question is simple, as we see that Admins have started deleting the fake referals.. I m just wondering, how do you know which is a fake referal???
I have points for 2 referal, and i know who those persons are... because they are my classmates.. But they are completely inactive as they dont have access to internet.. So we can say that those 2 accounts are completely inactive...
Now from an Admin View it might seem as a Fake referal.. But still i have those points(Thank God oops Thank Admin)
But then the question is, how do you find out which are the fake referal??
The only motive is to just make sure that, in the race of deducting fake points, some genuine points are not deducted, As I have only 108 points for the referals, it will hardly make any difference to me.. but it make difference to people who have high scores in it....
but than you will find more than 100 varun and more than 10 Varun Modi So how can you distinguish them, when we go to make a email-id, the name slot is never empty... So we select user name like varun_modi_85 or something
so you can get many such names.. so that can not be a criteria for fake..
Yes man, the admits have already deleted the fake referral points for me (the ones that have the same prefix) in the start of the contest . And they have given back the points for the rest of the referrals that i made that didn't have any common name. And now they suddenly deleted all the points for that. I think they should do just and delete for others also. Why only me??
I hope the admins are working on others too and come to a decision by tomorrow as its the last day.
It's easy to identify the receiver name, using some programming. If you come to know that the receiver's name is same for multiple IDs, referred by same person, its a clear case of fake referral.
but what if one does only few fake referrals, and about lots of referals, to different persons with different names. ? Does that mean that points for all those different ID's should also get deleted ?
Well i think they followed just one simple funda....
If you have done even a single fake referal, all your points for the referrals are deducted.... @Harshil, is your referrals stand to 0 now, with the deduction??? If that is the case, than I m right....
In that case, its very hard to decide on anything... So I suggest something... Remove the referrals points for every Account... That way it will be very clear and clean point system.. Who have worked hard on other than referral will stand a better chance..
i think that at actual the points should be given only for the referral of the active members only... So this can become one criteria, that if your referred friend is lets say in top 2000, you get the point for referring to that person... This way its very much clear that the fake referral wont get marks and we will maintain the consistency in the points allocation for the referrals...
I think this is will be fair to all.. and no chances of making any mistake...

I think the admins deleted the points even for the right referrals i made. and the right referrals i made, about 80% of them used to login in the site almost everyday to check their points, but didn't do any work in the forums. Does that mean that all points should be deleted Even if most of them login to the site and dont do any activity.
@Jabed - I know a few names who did so, but i dont want to mention. How can you say that this aint true. Man if you dont know anything, please dont comment on it.
Well, this is the Admin's work only, but we are only giving our view points on the topic.. Everyone want a fair way out of it.. only targeting few people wont prove the purpose.. its a good move, lets make it even better...
hey Vashistha - I dnot think there is much change in the rankings of yours even after the removal of the referrals.
The admins are punishing severely and removing the points for all the referrals, even if they sense one fake referral.
@Varun - Yes man, admins are joining hands and working on this thing, But i think its taking so much time for them to change or update the points for the single person. I think they do a fair move, and do the same for all the participants who have crossed 10K, and the ones who might cross 10K after the points are updated for these 15 days of activity. There is no use to check others as they are not going to make it to 10K.
