Hi, I can't seem to validate my copy of Windows 7 Professional 32-bit no matter what I do. I downloaded the Diagnostic Tool and got this, but I have no idea what to do to get my copy validated? Please help.

  • Have you installed the Windows Activation Technology update?

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033

    The validation site is at

    http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ValidateNow.aspx?displaylang=en

It will offer some diagnostic help if validation fails.

  • I've tried going through the site as well, and it keeps saying, windows validation was interrupted, and then it tries to sell me windows 7 products.

  • Hello WhiteMage815,

Would you check and see if you have the software "Advanced System Care" installed? I received a report from another person that they received the same "windows validation was interrupted" error, but it stopped once they uninstall that software.

If you don't have that software installed then the issue is being caused by something else and I would recommend contacting Microsoft Assisted Support at one of the below URLs:

    North America: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/cu_sc_genadv_master?ws=support&ws=support#tab4

    Outside North America:

    Please observe announcement 2 above.

Most Non-Genuine issues look the same regardless of the true underlying cause. So to help minimize the confusion caused by troubleshooting multiple different issues, we ask that all users create their own thread for thier own specific issue.    In other words, please do not post "Me Too" messages in other people's threads.

You may or may not have a similar issue, but it is YOUR issue.  This thread is discussing WhiteMage815's issue.  Use the Ask a Question link at the top of this page to start the discussion of your issue.
