Real life example of Windows HPC/MPI application RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm looking for an example of a real life Windows HPC/MPI application. I've found plenty of "Hello world" apps but nothing that would be really complex.

    By complex I mean:

    1. Solves a real life problem
    2. Contains error handling
    3. Provides guidelines how to design systems that get the most out of Windows HPC

thanks in advance for any info

  • Pawel,

One place to start is here:
    http://paralleldwarfs.codeplex.com/

it is a little on the acedemic side, but it demonstrates an entire development tool chain and some methods to solve real problems.

There are also commercial packages available, Ansys, etc. Matlab and Mathematica can also be run on compute clusters (they are not MPI apps).

    -thanks, johndaly
