Windows Not Genuine error 0x8004fe21

Question
-
After I installed the recent windows updates my PC starting saying that my copy of Windows 7 is not genuine. I upgraded my genuine copy of Windows XP about 2 years [estimate] ago with a 'Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3-User)' which I have sitting in front of me. I have tried to re enter the Product Key into Control Panel/ System and it accepts it yet I still get this error. I also tried to System Restore which fixed it from popping up for about 3 days but now it is back. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Here is the requested MGA Diganostic report.

Try this
Close all open windows.
Open an Elevated Command Prompt window, and type the following command
wusa /uninstall /kb:971033
and hit the Enter key
Accept the warnings/confirmations, and wait for it to complete
copy and paste the output (if any) from the command prompt window to a reply here,
Reboot
reinstall the update from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971033
Reboot
run another MGADiag report, and post it.
Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

Hello,
I tried to complete the first step but it came up with an error, 'Installer encountered an error 0x800f0900'. The command window looked like this...
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C:\Users\Jessica>wusa /uninstall /kb:971033
C:\Users\Jessica>I thought I should check back here before installing the update as the first step didn't work. Thanks for the quick response!

This looks as if you could have some serious problems.
Please run a full CHKDSK and SFC scan....
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
At the Command prompt, type
CHKDSK C: /R
and hit the Enter key.
You will be told that the drive is locked,
and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, press Enter, and then reboot.
The CHKDSK will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) -
then run the SFC.
SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.
At the Command prompt, type
SFC /SCANNOW
and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.
Copy the CBS.log file created (C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log) to your desktop (you can't manipulate it directly) and then compress the copy and upload it to your SkyDrive Public folder (http://skydrive.live.com ) and post a link to it so that I can take a look.
Post a new MGADiag report with details of any error messages encountered.

Hello. I went through your first steps from earlier with my boyfriend and it worked, so I must have messed up somewhere. It found the update, uninstalled it, we rebooted, installed from the link you provided and rebooted again. I have run the MGADiag program again and here are the results.

You should validate at www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate using Internet Explorer - it should pass - just to make sure there's nothing hiding in the woodwork.
