error pairing with device Microsoft Keyboard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Ironically, I am NOT trying to pair a device.  In fact, I have a paired Microsoft Keyboard at work, but when I take my laptop on the road, I don't expect it to be paired to the keyboard (500 miles away, duh).

Just recently and without any config changes to my bluetooth radio, I have started getting a message in the system tray from the bluetooth icon saying "Error pairing with device Microsoft Keyboard" when I am on the road.

It's really annoying and I don't know how to stop it, and I can't figure out why after two years with the same configuration this has started happening.

  • Timmy,

    Thanks for your post.

Since this is the Windows Phone Suggestion forum, specifically for Phones, I'm thinking you will be better served to post on a Microsoft Forum that deals with hardware issues.

I did some research and it looks like Microsoft Answers forum  http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/default.aspx

would be a great place to search for an answer.  I went to the link above for Microsoft Answers, typed in bluetooth keyboard and got 62 hits.

I hope this will be a help to you in resolving this annoying issue.

Thank you from the Microsoft Windows Phone Team
