Hi Steve,
Would you mind collecting your Live Mesh logs (instructions are in an Announcement at the top of the forums) and sending them to lmprev@microsoft.com? We're going to have to dig a bit deeper on this one.
Thanks,

Hi Steve,
Would you mind providing more information? For example, Are both of these problems on the same computer, or on different computers? What operating system is installed? If using Vista, do you have UAC on or off? What, exactly, happens when you try to sign in to Live Mesh: do you receive any error messages, or a constant "Starting Live Mesh" notice? Any additional information you could provide will help us zero in on the problem(s).
Thanks,

Hey Ben,
Thanks for the response. The two issues I noted are on the same computer. This computer has Vista and UAC is On.
The issue with accessing Live Desktop has been resolved. When I clicked Reply to this message, it made me sign into my Live Account which for some reason was not doing that when I typed in LIveMesh.com in the browser. I then tried accessing live mesh because I knew that my LIve account was not coming up. I would get the error message #1 at the bottom of this message but again, this is now working.
The 2nd issue and still is an issue, is that when I try to start the LIve Mesh service, it informs me there are updates but when I click to install I get a message that notes "Some updates were not configured. Get more help [80072EFD]".

Hi Steve,
Are you logged in as an administrator? Or did you type in admin credentials when prompted by UAC? Live Mesh does not support the latter scenario, so you need to log in to an administrator account. The behavior you're reporting has sometimes been seen by others who were not running Live Mesh in an admin account. If that's not the case for you, please let me know, and I'll continue to work with you to determine what's going on.
Thanks,

Hey Ben,
When I look at User Accounts it notes my account is an Administrator.
