Update Rollup 5 for Dynamics CRM 2011 - release date?

Question

As I know, Update Rollup 5 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 will be ready by the end of October. Is that correct? Can someone please let me know – will this version of Dynamics CRM support Date/Time format for Dialogs?Tuesday, September 27, 2011 7:57 AM

There is a Q4 roadmap document floating around the web at the moment but here is a summary article you can read http://microsoftaucrm.wordpress.com/2011/09/23/microsoft-dynamics-crm-roadmap-q4-2011-service-update/

Hi Alex,
Microsoft has just released UR4 and a highlight for UR5 can be found in the release article http://blogs.msdn.com/b/crm/archive/2011/09/22/update-rollup-4-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011.aspx .
"Update Rollup 5 will be delivered earlier than the 8-week cycle and is scheduled to release at the end of October 2011."

Thanks Leola!
Does someone know what fixes/features will be included to the UR5? Where can I check this info? Thank you in advance!

Usually the only thing contained within a Rollup are hotfixes, bug fixes, issue resolutions and as such a "pre-list" doesn't usually exist. Sometimes a "hot fix" is released and available through Microsoft Support long before it makes a rollup. Have you checked with support?

Keep posted, we release a blog postings for each rollup (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/crminthefield/) covering new features & fixes, the CRM Product Team blog (above) also will cover any new features or major fixes.

I agree with Anne, I really doubt that a new feature of that magnitude would be released as an Update, URs are mostly for bug fixes. Did you hear somewhere that it would include DateTime support for dialogs or are you just hoping?
However, there are some workarounds you can use:

Ok, thank you for all your answers.
Gonzalo - yes, I already saw this solution, but it doesn't work for us (I mean approach). As for DateTime in Dialogs in next UR, yes, there were some rumours that Microsoft will add this feature...Monday, October 10, 2011 8:50 AM -

Thanks Rhett! It is exactly what I want:
Feature Enhancements:
- Dialogs – extended to support lookups, dates and generate dynamic hyperlinks
- Business Intelligence – configure multi-series charts and new chart designer features and new chart types
- Extended de-duplication rule processing – more configuration and duplicate assessment rules.

"Extended de-duplication rule processing – more configuration and duplicate assessment rules."
Hurray! I will have to test them out on my personal CRM Online Account.
