[Urgent] Windows XP Product key

Question
-
Hello, half a some 12 days ago i formatted my old Presario v6000 from Windows 7, no idea how that got on a XP professional sp3 computer, since Professional XP was never installed, I formatted it to a Windows XP Home edition sp3 2002 edition since it was the only XP CD i had. I entered the product key both from my COA Sticker, and occasionally i used keyfinder and tried a bunch of other keys but still it won't pass validation. I got 17 days left and really need to activate since i just fixed this computer up.

If the COA is for XP Home Edition, then Carey's suggestion should work - but if the COA sticker is for Pro, then you MUST install Pro for it to have any chance of working.
