Outlook for Mac 2016 connectivity problem following MS latest software release April 2016

Question
-
I have a one-user MS Office Home & Business 2016 for Mac, licence for my Mac, as does my wife on hers, both based in the UK. I accepted the latest MS Office update last weekend, since when I no longer have connection access to my Exchange Outlook domain accounts with Godaddy ie no recent emails are getting through or can be sent. It all continues to work fine with my hotmail account. I did not update my wife's PC, thank goodness, where everything continues to be connected fine. I also seem to have full connectivity on my iphone, So the problem must lie with the latest PC update. All telephone requests for assistance at MS have proved hopeless, saying I need to take out a professional support package ($499 for one incident!) because I am linked to my own domain name. Can anyone give me any help on what I should do, please?
Thanks
Mark
