  • In order to get the MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Development certification Microsoft's website says I must pass 70-761 and 70-762. I have read and vaguely remember that you can take just 70-762 if you already have MCSA:SQL Server 2012/2014. Is this true? Can you give me an official link that says that?

    Thanks,
    Scott

  • So I found the page that mentions the upgrade but it looks like it might not be true anymore as the top of that page states that its older and points you to the updated exams.  I think that offer went away in Sept 2016

I would reach out on twitter to https://twitter.com/MSLearning they usually answer any cert questions you might have

  • Hi Scott,

Only thing I found is option (1 exam upgrade) towards MCSE: Data Management and Analytics

Earning an MCSE Data Management and Analytics certification qualifies you for such jobs as database analyst, database designer, and business intelligence analyst.

    STEP 1 - SKILLS
Earn your MCSA in SQL Server 2012/2014, or SQL 2016 Database Administration, Database Development, BI Development, Machine Learning, BI Reporting or Data Engineering with Azure.

    STEP 2 - EXAMS
Pass 1 required exam. Be sure to explore the exam prep resources.

Pass one of the following exams.

    Exam 70-473
    Exam 70-475
    Exam 70-464
    Exam 70-465
    Exam 70-466
    Exam 70-467
    Exam 70-762
    Exam 70-767
    Exam 70-768
    Exam 70-773
    Exam 70-774
    Exam 70-775

This isn't quite what you are looking for but maybe can be interesting for someone else.

    Cheers
