Urgent: CRM 4.0 REGISTER PLUGIN RRS feed

    Hello Gurus,

    We have an existing plug-in to track 4 attributes in Opporutunity entity for audit purpose.

    Now we are adding 2 more additional fields to audit list, Do we need to register the plug-in again or just simply move the latest .dll file to server?

    I appreciate your great help.

    For gac deployment  you can simply replace the file, for on-disk deployment you will probably need to do an iisreset and then you can just replace the .dll file (otherwise it will not allow the replace a lot of times because a process is holding onto it).   For database deployment  you can "update" the assembly through the plugin registration tool.

    So it really depends on how it is deployed.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

    I just checked my existing plug-in. It is "database" deployment.

    Thanks, i will select the plugin name in tree and click on update thorugh the plugin registration tool.
