OneCare support and Exploit RRS feed

As suggested, I called OneCare support again and followed his directions on doing a complete AV scan in safe mode. Though I had not done this in safe mode previously, the scan detected nothing.

  • Whatever the reason, after running scan in safe mode, I've noticed no further popups. Still no idea where the original exploit came from however.

  • Bob, are you referring to this thread? http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2623080&SiteID=2

If it is the "Exploit:HTML/Repl.B" detection, it is coming from certain web sites and appears to be related to ads served by Google. The specific trigger appears to be the tracking code that is being served with the ads.
