Yep :(
The only thing that could still work (and it's not guaranteed) is to use the manufacturer's Recovery system to get back to teh ex-factory state - this will wipe add data on teh C:drive, at least, so back up to external media first!
Before you go to such drastic measures, there's one thing that *may* work if you're patient and persistent.
Attempt Telephone ctivation and speak to an operator - some people have managed to persuade them to issue a new Key in similar circumstances (some haven't, and there's no telling what causes the difference).
telephone activation (operator
calls)Click on the Start button
in the Search
box, type
SLUI 4
and hit the Enter key
follow the instructions - but
when asked which service you require by the telephone ansafone, do NOT reply -
this should force an operator to respond, who can deal with youNoel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC | The Three-toed Sloth

Please download and install the update to the activation and validation components in Windows Activation Technologies for Windows 7. Afterward, restart your computer.

SSDT AMD PowerNowUnfortunately, there is nowhere else that your COA Key is held - MS certainly don't know it, and HP don't keep such records.Try reading the Key using a magnifying glass and torch. There is a vague possibility that the following may work - it sometimes does.Recreate the Licensing Store
1) Click Start button.
2) Type: CMD.exe into the 'Search programs and files' field
3) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select Run as Administrator
4) Type: net stop sppsvc (It may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
Note: the Software Protection service may not be running, this is ok.
5) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
6) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
7) Type: cd %windir%\system32
8) Type: net start sppsvc
9) Type: slui.exe
10) After a couple of seconds Windows Activation dialog will appear. You may be asked to re-activate and/or re-enter your product key or Activation may occur automatically.
Reboot and Post back with a new MGADiag report
Note that in your case, if you still can't read the COA sticker, you'll need to re-enter the OEM_SLP Key currently in use, which is 4FG99-BC3HD-73CQT-WMF7J-3Q6C9 (but that means that this procedure has failed)

Yep :(
The only thing that could still work (and it's not guaranteed) is to use the manufacturer's Recovery system to get back to teh ex-factory state - this will wipe add data on teh C:drive, at least, so back up to external media first!

No go on HP customer service they were trying to charge me more than what a new product code would cost just to attempt to help me. Thats Just ridiculous. I'll try the telephone activation tommorrow but I'm not holding my breath. This is ridiculous that microsoft would put something out like this to people who actually buy there stuff legit.Tuesday, May 15, 2012 1:17 AM

Must admit, I'm not too surprised - try ringing your local Activation office using a number off this list....They are actually the same numbers, mostly.
