  • Hi,

    I am creating case from email that is received in specific queue using workflow. I am copying the contents of the email (body) to description. The case is getting created. However the description shows the HTML tags in the description. How can I remove this HTML? Please respond ASAP. Thanks !!

  • Hi Vipin,

    There are a few problems with converting a case to an email. For one thing the case description field cannot hold more than 4000 char. 

    You will also need to write code to remove the HTML Tags. Something like.

    string sEmailDescription = Regex.Replace(oEmail.description, HTML_TAGS, string.Empty).Replace(" ", string.Empty); 

    I would recommend you copy the subject of the email to the subject of the case and then associate the email with the case. Train the users to look at the associated email for details about the new case. The case status could let them know that the case was created from an email.
