  Interesting – your PC has a BIOS dated after the release of WIn7, but only has a SLIC table consistent with Vista. I assume therefore that you have done a BIOS update at some stage.

  The Installation of Win7 appears to have been through the ‘Free Upgrade’ program.

   

  I suspect that your problem arises due to a driver error -

  Install the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers

  try downloading and installing them from here -

  http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20624&ProdId=2101&lang=eng&OSVersion=%0A&DownloadType=Drivers&OSVersion=%0A&DownloadType=Drivers

  - you’ll need the set for the x64 (64-bit) platform on Win7

  As you thought, there's no real change between reports :(

   

  I can only suggest that you see if WGA Suppport can help - until I can reproduce the problem I cannot find a solution, and as yet I have been unable to do so.
