CRM 2011 online - Outlook client, can't go offline RRS feed

    When I try to do this the dialog lists "Initalizing synchonization : Complete", but during "Configuring database" I get Error.  "An error occurred during installing database"

    Any idea where to start looking to solve this?  The Sql crm instance is installed and running ok but there is no CRM db in there

    Did you rename the computer running this ?

    If that is the case, here is the reason for the cause and the resolution to the same..

    I am having the exact same issue. I have a Windows 7-64bit Laptop with office 2010-32bit installed and CRM Outlook client-32bit. Everything works perfectly with the exception of not being able to go offline. There doesn't seem to be any posts out there dealing with this issue. I opened a ticket with Microsoft. If i am able to resolve the issue i will share. Any success yet on your end?

    Same issue, and no, did not rename the computer.

    Windows 7, x64, outlook 2010, crm2011.

    Hi

     

    I was previously able to go offline, but now cannot. I am running Windows 7 64bit, Office 2010, CRM 2011. We installed Update rollup 3 which worked fine, and then a few weeks after we did the installation of the update I tried going offline and received the error message: 'An erorr occurred during installing database. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics CRM Administrator and try going offline again'.

     

    The error occurs while the database is being configured. We have not renamed my PC and have even repaired and uninstalled/reinstalled CRM.

     

    Does anyone know how to fix this? Please?
