I highly doubt it is true, but there are rumors all around stating that Microsoft's update have a file that corrupts the hal.dll file and some other system 32 files that windows uses that is vitally important to their process.  They said that in the past 2 weeks over 30,000 people have discovered a problem with their system 32 folders, and cannot start their computers and have complications with them.  Someone told me that they are doing it to roll out their new Windows Vista, they said its a scheme they are using, could it be true?
