CRM 3.0 on Server 2008 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are running CRM 3.0 and external users access via Terminal Services running on MS Server 2008.
However, we only use the web client since we have been told that the Outlook client for CRM 3.0 will not run under Server 2008.

I realise that we might have to find a patch of something to make sure the dotNet 1.1 Framework is installed (Does one exist for Server 2008??), or is there some other deeper problem that prevents us using version 3.0 on Server 2008?

    Cheers

    Martin

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Outlook are not compatible with Windows Server 2008-based computers. You can install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 in a Windows Server 2008 domain. However, the computer where you install Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 must be running Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2000.

  • Hi Martin,

Are you running 32 bit version of Win 2008?  It's been a while but I believed CRM 3.0 is not compatible with Windows 2008.
