If this is the one I'm seeing this morning (where there is no visable bold marking for threads I haven't read yet and strange unclear icons for threads that are marked as answered; proposed as answered; use the discussion type etc.) then I hope never.

My only salvation was to switch to MSDN in order to do any moderator work at all.

[Warning: This was using Firefox. On this PC I can't access the forums in IE as I get in a loop when authorizing. At home that doesn't matter as I use a different PC for the forums - here on holiday I have this one ...]

P.S. (After reading several other threads). The point of having a bold marking for the numbers (how many replies; how many times read) was to quickly indicate that you had not read the latest post(s) in that thread. You then could zoom to (only) such threads and read just them. Thus it is completely pointless to need to go to the thread and place your cursor on those numbers in order to see if they are bold or not (which is the situation in TechNet today)

Both also have links to extensive book lists and to (free) on-line chapters

Regarding bold markings... Brent mentioned that it is being worked on to restore that feature.

    Thanks Mike!
