how to install RAID/ACHI motherboard drivers in Windows Home Server 2011?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've got windows home server 2011 for my home server, but cannot seem to get the SATA RAID/ACHI drivers installed for my on board ports. With Windows XP for example I'd push F6 during the installation but there does not seem to be an option to do that in this version.

I would have thought this would be the right spot during the installation to load the drivers, but I've tried and it does not seem to work. I have the correct drivers, but no luck.

thank you for any help and best regards.

  • You might want to see if you motherboard manual has any information on how to install drivers during setup of Windows 7.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

  • I just bought WHS 2011 and a Gigabyte MB with built in RAID. I had to go into the BIOS, and change my default options to enable RAID, then reboot. During the follow-up reboot, I was given an option for F10 to open the RAID section. Perhaps your MB has the same thing. Just a thought.
