MS CRM 4.0: Email router problem; systemstate.xml corrpted RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have solved this problem by deleting systemState.xml and restart and worked for me. I want permanenet solution. I found that rollup 13 has the permanent solution.

I checked my server it has rollup 21, 15 and some other rollups installed but not 13. Should I go ahead and install this rollup 13? what could be the implications?

#16192 - The E-mail Router service could not run the service main background thread. The E-mail Router service cannot continue and will now shut down. System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: The E-mail router service cannot access system state file Microsoft.Crm.Tools.EmailAgent.SystemState.xml. The file may be missing or may not be accessible. The E-mail Router service cannot continue and will now shut down. ---> System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing.

  • Hi Hassan,

If you have installed UR21, you have UR13 as well. What UR do you have on the email router? It is recommended to have the same UR for all parts of a CRM system

  • Hassanz,

    1. stop the service
    2. rename the file to something else, normally [filename].backup
    3. start the service

this will simply create a new configuration file for you.
