Repeated error message: "Error attempting to connect to blog at: https://myblog.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send."

  WLW has been great for posting to my Wordpress blog, but recently I'm getting the message above.

  I'm using Vista on the Chinese mainland.

  What is strange is that when I edit on WLW, the first post of the day publishes.  After that, it sticks on the error message.

  I thought maybe the problem was with WLW, but I downloaded a few other online blog editing software programs and they also fail to publish while showing the "xmlrpc.phc" error.

  I notice the error is indicating a "https://" address, which is not what I've inputted in the WLW "Blog Account".
