More actions Edit on Saved views RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can someone point me in the right direction.

From anywhere in CRM we can click on “Advanced Find” up at the top of CRM then “Saved Views” then double click “Approved Refunds” then “Find” in the lower right corner.  We get a list of people to send refunds to.  On that window there’s a More Actions menu item up with the printer icon and excel icon.  If you click that some folks get Edit as an option and some don’t.  I know it’s based on the roles of the people.  People with the CSR Manager role can see it and those with other roles can’t.  They want another role created that isn’t CSR Manager but that can see this.  I can’t figure out where that is controlled.  I guess it’s java script controlling the presence of the edit option based on role but I can’t find the script.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • It would seem that you need to give these users read/write priveleges to that entity.

  • You will find the security settings for this in the Security Role you choose under the Custom Tab.

  • Thanks to Jerry Weinstock and Rhett Clinton.  I ended up setting a a new role like the one that didn't work.  Then tab by tab added the rights from the one that did work to it until I got it to show.  It was under Business Management Miscellaneous Privileges Bulk Edit that it needed to work.  I wouldn't have thought of that.
